Dr Emma Wainwright

Dr Emma Wainwright is the principal dentist and founder of Cornerstone Dental. She grew up in Brisbane, a graduate of Brisbane State High school, and received her Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University Of Queensland in 2007. Her work in dentistry began before this, employed as a dental assistant for several years.

Emma is passionate about all aspects of dentistry. She prides herself on providing carefully explained, comprehensive dental treatment. She has a special interest in endodontics (root canal treatment), enjoys making sure children have a great first dental experience, and rebuilding smiles with cosmetic techniques. Dr Emma Wainwright has participated in volunteer dentistry for over 15 years such as providing probono dental work through the National Dental Foundation and crisis fundraisers.

Outside of dentistry, Emma enjoys spending time with her partner Shaun, and her dog Marvin (a rescue from Gatton Vet School). She loves to go camping on a spare weekend, bushwalking, and has a passion for sub-tropical gardening.

Dr Rebecca Wainwright

Dr Rebecca Wainwright graduated from the University of Queensland with first class honours. Her passion for dentistry started many years ago when working as a dental assistant. This has allowed her to develop a gentle and caring chairside manner, helping her make patients feel comfortable. Since then she has gained experience working in both private and public clinics prior to starting at Cornerstone Dental. Rebecca enjoys all areas of dentistry and has a particular interest in preventing oral diseases, as she believes a healthy smile is also a beautiful smile. She prides herself in providing the best dental care for her patients and frequently attends professional development courses to ensure that she is up to date with the current developments in dentistry. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys bushwalking and cycling.

OUR ASSISTANTS

Renée

Renee is a dental student, and she loves assisting in the dental setting. In her spare time, she loves watching Korean dramas. A sizeable portion of her ability to read and speak Korean is from her hobby of watching K-drama.

Felicity

Felicity grew up in country Boonah and has a love of horse-riding. She later discovered a fascination for the field of dentistry whilst living in Melbourne. Since returning to Brisbane, she has married and works with our Cornerstone Dental team to render exceptional dental assistance and care.

Alida

Alida is our bubbly and sociable dental assistant. She is a qualified beauty therapist and has a passion for making people feel good about themselves. Outside of work, she is kept busy with her two young children and catching up with friends.

Tomoko

Born in Japan and moved to Australia 20 years ago, Tomoko has a love of learning new things and challenging herself. She prides herself in providing warm and personal care to each patient. Outside of work, she enjoys learning Taekwondo with her daughters, and spending quality time with her family and dogs.

Reilly

Reilly began developing a passion for Health Care when graduated from SBIT with a Diploma of Nursing in 2015. With a focus on compassionate care, Reilly strives to put patients at ease to ensure a positive dental experience. Outside of the clinic, Reilly engages in regular volunteering in the community with his wife and fellow Dental Assistant, Felicity. In their spare time, when they are not playing with their dogs, Cookie & Gus, they are versing each other in a video game.

Caitie

Caitie is a certified paediatric nurse that make patients feel comfortable and at ease. She looks at each day as an opportunity to learn something new and exciting. Caitie is open-minded and willing to solve whatever problem is put before her. She loves spending her free time with her ducks, chickens, two baby girls and her two dogs.

Nicole

Nicole loves to make everyone comfortable and happy.

The Practice

Cornerstone Dental is conveniently located at Shop 11, 166 Monier Road within the Monier Village shopping centre in Darra. Ample parking onsite is available and Darra train station is only a short walk away. We are open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday and during school holidays.

New Patient: Your First Visit

We are excited to see you at Cornerstone Dental! Please arrive 15 minutes early prior to your appointment to enable you to complete the necessary paperwork.
Typically, your first appointment will take approximately 30 minutes and will include a general assessment.
Arriving late will limit the length of your treatment. Should you need to change your appointment, we kindly ask for 24hrs notice.

Emergency Treatment

Dental problems that require emergency dental treatment and prompt (ideally same-day) treatment
include:

    • accidents involving injury to the face or mouth
    • swelling around teeth, in the mouth or face
    • severe bleeding from gums or following extractions
    • severe toothache and pain.
